The article begins by describing adiabatic cooling as the process of losing temperature without losing energy from the set of substances that make up the air, when we transform latent heat into sensible heat without using any energy source other than the substance.

To understand adiabatic cooling we must look at the percentage of water that the air contains, since this process occurs when we incorporate water spray to favor its evaporation in an air with low relative humidity, thus increasing its relative humidity (increases its latent heat ). As no new energy enters, the air loses temperature (its sensible heat decreases).
